Stations

West Metro consists of 3 fire stations throughout New Hope and Crystal. Each station includes a Captain, two Lieutenants, and nearly 20 paid on call firefighters. These stations are not staffed 24/7, but will quickly fill with firefighting personnel preparing for deployment once notified of an emergency. Our full-time staff work out of West Metro's Station 3 and Station 1, which is typically staffed M - F from 6am - 6pm. In additional to the dedicated firefighters at each station, West Metro has three paid on-call Training Captains and three paid on-call Battalion Chiefs.

Station 1

5354 Douglas Drive N, Crystal, MN 55429

Station 1 was built in 1985 and houses Tower 1, an engine, a light rescue and a utility vehicle. The station staff includes a POC Captain, 2 POC Lieutenants, and up to 20 firefighters.

Station 1 covers the Northeast section of the district.

Station 2

4101 Douglas Drive N, Crystal, MN 55427

Station 2 was built in 1975 and houses Squad 1, an engine, a light rescue and utility vehicle. The basement is utilized for firefighter training specific to search and rescue. The station staff includes a POC Captain, POC Training Captain, 2 POC Lieutenants, and up to 20 firefighters

Station 2 covers the Southeast section of the district.

Station 3

4251 Xylon Ave N, New Hope, MN 55248

Station 3 serves as the headquarters and administrative offices for the WMFRD. The station opened in 1991 and houses 2 engines, a LSU trailer, a grass truck, a light rescue, a utility vehicle and a Salvation Army Canteen truck. The station staff includes the 8 full time staff, 1 POC Captain, Training Captain, 2 Lieutenants, and up to 20 firefighters.

Station 3 covers the West side of the district.
